Franklin, TN – Eight Traditions Health hospice branches have earned the SHPBest™ Caregiver Satisfaction Award from Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) for the 2023 calendar year. Branches in Carrollton, GA; Chula, GA; Crockett, TX; Greenville, SC; Longview, TX; and Plainview, TX received the SHPBest™ “Premier Performer” Caregiver Satisfaction Award while branches in Akron, OH, and Lafayette, LA received the SHPBest™ “Superior Performer” Caregiver Satisfaction Award.

“There are many benchmarks that measure the quality of care we provide, but a patient satisfaction award is the highest form of recognition. It reflects the commitment our teams have to providing quality, compassionate, patient-centric care,” said Tracy Cardin, RN, ACNP, SFHM, senior vice president of clinical services of Traditions Health.

The “Premier Performer” award recognizes organizations that have achieved an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 5% of all eligible SHP clients. The “Superior Performer” award recognizes organizations that have achieved an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients.

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2023 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,750 hospice providers. With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.

“SHP is proud to partner with so many organizations that put a high value on providing quality patient care and we are honored to recognize the hard work and dedication of our top-performing customers with the annual SHPBest awards. These organizations deserve to be celebrated for their commitment to achieving new levels of excellence each and every year,” said Kevin Vogel, president of SHP.

“This award is not only a reflection of our commitment to provide superior quality home health care to our communities, it’s also a testament to the incredible employees we have on staff,” said Brian Lantier, chief executive officer of Traditions Health.
